Spirit, Honour, Tradition, Haggis - D'Arcy McGee's Pays Tribute to Robert Burns on January 24

Robert Burns, Scotland's best known poet, is admired and remembered around the world on Robbie Burns Day (January 25) for his poetry that celebrates natural love, the enjoyment of sociable drinking and the pride of the self-reliant man and woman. In honour of this famous Scot, D'Arcy McGee's on Sparks Street will be hosting a Robert Burns celebration on January 24 from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.

D'Arcy McGee's "Robert Burns Celebration" features a number of great photo opportunities with Ottawa's liveliest Robbie Burns Night revelers:

Exclusive Dewar's Scotch Whisky Masterclasses – join the fun, or sit back and watch, as partiers participate in intimate scotch tasting sessions and share scotch talk throughout the evening.
Ceremonial Cutting of the Haggis – a Robert Burns celebration is not complete without a traditional Haggis. D'Arcy McGee's Royal Haggis will be piped in by Pipe Major Bethany Bisaillion of the Sons of Scotland Pipers and addressed by Ross May at 6:30p.m.
Special Menu – D'Arcy McGee's popular Chef Charles MacInnis has created some special dishes for the evening including Scotch Broth, Haggis in a Dewar's & leek demi glace with traditional neeps and tatties and Atholl Brose – a traditional Scottish dessert.
Live Entertainment – featuring The Wells from Montreal
