Pint-Sized Fionn MacCool's Opens Near Rogers Centre

…location will help build brand awareness with locals and tourists to support North American growth plans…

Mississauga, ON – May 27, 2009 – Prime Pubs unveiled its second pint-sized pub today, with the official opening of a mini Fionn MacCool's on Front Street West in Toronto. Built on a smaller foot print than a traditional Fionn MacCool's pub, the pint-sized format features all of the amenities guests have come to expect from Canada's favourite family of authentic Irish pubs.

"We're delighted that visitors will be able join us at Toronto's fifth Fionn MacCool's before or after an event at the Rogers Center for delicious food, great ambience and a bit of ye old Irish Craic," says franchisees Beverly Samuel-Lowe and Neville Lowe. "Our fun yet cozy pub environment is a totally different breed than the other local restaurants near the Rogers Center. We're the perfect compliment to a great night out!"

Located near the Rogers Center at 310A Front Street West in Toronto (Front and Blue Jays Way), the pint-sized Fionn MacCool's features 3,770 square feet of authentic and inviting pub atmosphere with seating for 142 guests, and additional 30 seats on the pub's wrap around patio. In keeping with its smaller size, the pint-sized Fionn MacCool's menu offers approximately two-thirds the number of items as its traditional menu and features the restaurant's most popular dishes such as Blarney Chips, Rosslare Lamb Shank, Guinness® Steak & Mushroom Crock, and Mrs. Brady's Bread Pudding.

"We've had rave reviews for the first pint-sized pub we opened last fall on Bloor Street East in Toronto - guests love having greater accessibility to our delicious cuisine within a more intimate setting," says Grant Cobb, Senior Vice President of Prime Restaurants' Prime Pubs division. Prime Pubs opened its first U.S. location last year in Tempe, Arizona and to date has signed franchisees in California and Maryland, with plans to open locations in 2010. In Canada, a Fionn MacCool's will open at Toronto's Lester B. Pearson Terminal 3 in December. The chain has plans for 40 new restaurant openings across North America within the next four years.
