Margaret is a results-oriented professional who possesses more than a decade of communications experience in the consumer, healthcare, technology and manufacturing sectors.
Margaret has worked with some of Canada's leading communications firms, where she has managed and implemented successful national and international public relations campaigns for: L'Oréal Paris, Lancôme, Garnier Canada, Kraft Canada, Sony, Packard Bell NEC, Loblaws, CIBC, PC Financial, Toshiba, The Canadian Space Agency, Prime Restaurants and the Pedorthic Association of Canada.
A career highlight for Margaret includes her work with L'Oréal Paris for Toronto's Fashion Week, Canada's premier fashion event held semi-annually in Toronto. For the past seven years, Margaret has managed the backstage media relations for the brand's makeup and hair artists, securing 30 - 50 interviews each event with tier-one media.
No stranger to international corporate communications, Margaret has also served as the manager for private and publicly held companies such as Platform Computing and Centrinity, where she developed and implemented successful global public relations initiatives to raise the international profile of these companies.
Throughout her career in public relations and investor relations Margaret has established a reputation as a media-savvy communicator. Prior to becoming a communications professional, Margaret was a journalist and editor for a number of Canada's leading technology trade publications. Her first hand journalistic experience enables Margaret to effectively create strategic media relations campaigns that generate results.
Margaret holds a diploma in Journalism from Durham College.
